THE STATE OF OUR NATION

I’m going to speak on a few different fronts that will tie together. Before I begin though I really must emphasize I am not one of those persons who sees conspiracies and espionage in all things, but I do pay attention to what is really happening and have a firm belief system rooted in God’s Word.

I foresee this country heading for very serious economic and spiritual times:

-- Spiritually - This country is spiritually and morally bankrupt (sorry to use a catch phrase, but it truly does describe our nation spiritually).  We allow the morally corrupt to dictate what we teach our children and allow over the airwaves.  We glorify despicable people like Howard Stern, Madonna, Rosie O'Donnell, Paris Hilton, Hugh Hefner, etc… Yet the people of this country are being taught that is it okay to despise, ridicule, and condemn our Christian leaders, and those who try to live their lives how God wants them to.  We have allowed the vocal minority to remove prayer from our schools; the 10 Commandments from our courts and any public buildings; made it unacceptable to say the Pledge of Allegiance; are trying to remove “In God We Trust” from our money; and made it acceptable to kill millions of unborn children a year through abortion.  (Here's a link to an article describing "Free Abortions" in honor of George Tiller - the so-called "Doctor" who was known for performing late-term abortions. June 09)  As we continue to be removed further and further from God’s favor (our nation was founded on the Word of God!!!) He will remove His protection from this nation and literally All Hell will break loose.

-- Economically – Before I speak about the gas crisis I need to address our food supply. I don’t know if you’ve heard about the missing honeybees (New Documentary Sheds Light on Plight of Bees)? As you know, honeybees pollinate almost all of our food. Take them away and our food sources begin to disappear. For @ least the past 2 years the world’s honeybees are dying off and just plain missing. Do you remember when you were younger and were walking through a garden or field and seeing lots of bees flying around? Sometimes it seemed as though you couldn’t walk through your own yard without the fear of being stung. When was the last time you saw any honeybees? They are disappearing and dying off and no one (scientists, honeybee farmers, etc…) can explain it, or find the cause. Without the honeybees our food becomes scarcer, we can’t help feed the rest of the world and the price of our food becomes astronomical. (Predicted in the Book of Revelation in the Bible – Revelation 6:6 “And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” The side notes in my Bible say in today’s wages, the price for food will be roughly 8 times what it should be. BTW, honeybees do NOT pollinate oil and wine.)

The gas crisis is being fabricated by several groups who may not be working together, but combined are helping to ruin our country. The President of Iran (make that all of the Islamic extremists) and the leader of Brazil have both declared they will do whatever it takes to wipe the US off the face of the earth. The leader of Brazil has publicly stated he will ruin our country through control of his oil. Both leaders would like nothing more than to see our country disintegrate and implode on itself. Assisting these men in their task (whether knowingly or not) is a consortium of world leaders (and I’m certain very powerful people on a global scale) who are working towards making this world a more global world economy. I believe eventually there will be regional alliances/unions. The Islamic nations will be united; there will be a United Americas (Canada, the US, Mexico, and more than likely some or all of the Central American countries); The European Union; The far east (China, Japan, and most, if not all, of Asia). The #1 way to attain that goal – destroy the US economically. NO ONE could destroy us militarily. But, if they can do it economically then they can control and manipulate our citizens and lead us by the ring in our noses to “accept” the dissolution of our sovereign nation to become a member of a “more stable” economic union – NAFTA - precursor? hmm?  (Here's a link to an article outlining the implications of the speech Obama made in Egypt in June 09.)

I don’t care what Obama denies or says, he IS Islamic and WILL work (knowingly or through a mislead belief he is helping to acquire peace in that part of the world) with the Islamic countries to subvert our nation and Israel – God’s chosen people and land. Knowing just how radical the Islamic extremists are you can probably understand how closed their society and borders have been to Christianity. There are basically 2 different factions of Islamics - the Shiites and Sunnis. Both factions (branches) deeply believe (hope for) that their particular Mudjahedine will be the Great Prophet that returns and leads the Islamic nations into a complete annihilation of Israel. (That is what scares me about Obama. NOT that he won't wear a lapel pin or salute/respect our National Anthem/flag - both things that do disturb me. BUT that he is fundamentally Islamic and will make concessions to those countries AGAINST Israel.)  We must always remember the land of Israel was given to the Jews by God as their land for His chosen people. Jesus is a Jew. So, if those Islamic extremists believe their Prophet/Leader will come from their tribe they must not fail him. The leader of Iran has publicly stated he wants to wipe Israel and the US from the face of the earth. These people are extreme!!!

The war in Iraq (for whatever reason Bush and his allies gave) is truly being conducted for one reason - The TRUE, REAL reason we are in Iraq and Afghanistan is because God has enabled us to be there. You see, we (the west) bring the knowledge of Jesus to that part of the world. In the Bible, Jesus said that the entire world would know who He is (God's Son - our Redeemer) and what He did for mankind. Not necessarily that every person will get a chance to hear about His sacrifice, but that the Good News (the story of Jesus, and through His death, the redemption for our sins) will be preached in all languages. With the Internet, radio, satellite, etc… that has pretty much been done. NOW, through the help of the west, that entire region is open (to a certain extent). There are actually Christian churches in Iraq and Iran, and Bibles are being spread throughout Afghanistan and that part of the world.

From a personal standpoint, I hate to see what that war has done to this nation and our fighting forces through all the suffering and hardship their sacrifices have accounted for. However, as a believer and follower of Jesus I am thankful to God for allowing the people in that part of the world an opportunity to hear the message of Jesus. Without our presence there, perhaps thousands or even tens of thousands may have never heard of Jesus and who He actually is - the Son of God.

I truly believe we are living in the last days. Everything that is happening globally is setting up for the End Time. I have no idea on the time frame – it could be in the next minute, or the next 5-10 years (or 50), but I do believe Jesus will return during our lifetime. And that my friends, is an entirely different writing.
